Environment

Environmental contaminants that are forbidden for several years in Europe are still present today.
Polychlorinated biphenyls for instance were intensively used in the 1970´s in hydraulic systems or plasticizers in sealing compounds.
Until now these PCB´s can be detected in buildings. The contaminated material has to be removed because of its toxicity.
Other examples for environmental toxic substances are wood preservatives like pentachlorophenol or lindane, which are forbidden due to their toxicity. These substances are detectable for instance in air or dust.
From September 30th, 2016, insolation panels containing HBCDD are considered as hazardous waste by the Commission Regulation (EU) 2016/460. The concentration limit is 1000 mg/kg HBCDD. Please contact us for appropriate analyses.

We can perform analyses on following parameters:

  • Pesticides
  • Polychlorinated biphenyles (PCB’s)
  • Heavy metals and other elements
  • Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons
  • Wood preservatives
  • Plasticizers (Phthalates)
  • Chloro paraffins
  • HBCDD (Hexabromocyclododecane, HBCD)
